Sherman Lamar Caldwell Sr. 50 was born September 1, 1970. He was called home September 30, 2020 after a fierce war with cancer.

Sherman was an old soul with the swag of a youngster. Everywhere he went he had a smile on his face and was the life of the party. He known as “Sherm Dog” and touched many hearts…he loved everybody. In the words of his niece Jasmin, “He was the happiest person she knew.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Caldwell-Michaels; father, Richard H. Garrett Sr.; brother, Richard H. Garrett lll; nephew, Jamareil T. Caldwell; uncle, Willie Edward and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sherman is survived by his wife, Virginia Olear-Caldwell; sons, Sherman Lamar Caldwell Jr., and Najeron “Aleazia” Caldwell; grandchildren, La’monya, Prince, Nolan; brothers, Nathaniel R. Caldwell Sr. (Shanette Meadows-Caldwell), Jermaine A. Caldwell l. LeRon E. Caldwell l (Tamika Cotton), Reginald Fowler; sisters, Tamika McLean, Ronda Brown (Carlos Brown Sr.), nieces, LaDawn T.C. Caldwell, Shakenna Caldwell, Rolanda Caldwell, Jasmine Caldwell, Jamecia Caldwell-Stanley, Shanika Stewart, Eisha Stewart, Shahira Meadows, Nateerjah Caldwell, Shakiba Caldwell, Calleah Brown, Ayzha; nephews LeRon E. Caldwell ll, Demario Stewart, Nathaniel R. Caldwell Jr. Jerome A. Caldwell ll, Richard H. GarrettlV, Juan Caldwell, Carlos Brown Jr., Genesis Caldwell as well as a host of great nieces and nephews.

He also leaves to cherish and honor his memory, other family and friends.

PRIVATE Visitation 2:00 PM and Funeral Service 3:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2020 at COP East, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
