QuallsSharon

Sharon Denise Qualls was the youngest out of 6 children. She was born December 8, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio to James and Ruth Qualls.

She attended Columbus Public School and graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1973. After high school, she pursued a career in Medical Coding through Kaplan University. Although she preferred to live a quiet, reserved life, anyone who knew her came to realize her capacity to be a loyal friend, hard worker, and one willing to help those in need.

She drove for CPS and also had her own catering business. She loved driving the school bus. Interacting with children was her joy. Nieces and nephews call her “Aunt Shar Shar” and she would call them “baby girl” or “baby boy”.

She learned to seek and trust in the Lord from her praying, God fearing mother at a early age. She attended Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church under Bishop Fred Marshall.

She was preceded in death by grandmothers Mattie Hunter and Effie Brown, father James E. Qualls Sr.; brother, James Qualls Jr.; uncles, Lewis H. Hunter, and William Hunter; nephew, Damian Qualls; great niece, Stephanie Danielle Holland, and brother in law Marquis Holland.

She leaves to cherish her memories; mother, Ruth Qualls; brothers, Steven Qualls and Danny (Carolyn) Qualls; sisters, Delores Holland and Charlotte Qualls, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation 11:00 AM and Funeral Service 12:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Symrna Baptist Church, 1650 Wilson Ave.
