Sharon M. Horton, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 71. Sharon was born on November 2, 1951, in Redfox, KY, to Alvin and Kathryn Hagans. She was a devoted member of Triedstone Baptist Church, where she shared her beautiful voice as a choir member. Sharon’s passion for gospel music led her to travel and sing with Gospel Shantae’s.

Throughout her life, Sharon worked as a Home Health Aide for the City of Columbus, Ohio, where she was known for her kindness and dedication to her patients. Sharon was a nurturing soul who loved to cook and spent her life caring for her family, including her younger siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Above all, Sharon loved God and her faith was at the center of her life. She cherished gospel and oldies but goodies music and shared her passion with all who knew her.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Kathryn and Alvin Hagans, and her siblings Patsy Viney, (twin) Vernon Hagans, Darren Scott, and Louise Beatty. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her siblings, James Christian, Deborah Cornett, Kathy (Bobby) Alexander, and Sandra Christian, as well as her special nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at the MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave. Sharon will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was loved and cherished by many.
