kotera

Sharon Mae Kotera, age 63. Sunrise December 19, 1957, and Sunset November 17, 2021. Our beloved mother, Sharon Mae Kotera, departed this life surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon is a graduate of Bellaire High School, class of 1976. Sharon enjoyed working as an Administrative Assistant for National City Bank which was later acquired by PNC Bank for more than 20 years.

Sharon loved doing crossword puzzles and drinking diet Pepsi, but mostly she loved a cup of coffee, or two, well who are we kidding, she would drink the whole pot. She faithfully watched the news, knew the answers on Jeopardy! and could guess a Wheel of Fortune puzzle with just a few letters. She loved her two dogs, Twin and Karma, whom she spoiled with love and a lot of extra treats. Sharon loved being in comfortable shoes and you could always find her in a pair of flip flops, crocs, or sneakers.  Sharon was very proud of achieving homeownership. In her proud moment she said, “I finally have something of my own.”

Sharon leaves to cherish in her memory her three beautiful children, Roschelle, Joseph and Camille (Rich).

Sharon is survived by her mother, Mildred Kotera; siblings, Joseph (Butch) Kotera, Jr., Cindy (Gary) Henthorne, Lynne (Albert) Zanke; brother-in-law, Harold Hochstrasser. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her adoring grandchildren: Tylah, Averi, Taven, Rylan, Tegan, Joey, Zayla, and Trace and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Kotera, Sr.; and her sister, Melanie Hochstrasser.

I worked with Sharon for many years at PNC. She was a fixture at our downtown office. I mostly had the pleasure of running into her in the elevators. That picture and her pose are priceless. Know that many PNC coworkers will miss her dearly.
