Shawn A. Madison, 71, passed away on October 28, 2021. Shawn was born on May 12, 1950 in Detroit, MI to George Shoulders and Janice Marie Madison. Shawn was a 1968 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. He loved all sports and was a referee for over 30 years. He is preceeded in death by his parents, Janice Marie and Wayne Eugene Stevens Sr.; father, George Shoulders and brother, Wayne Vincent Stevens Jr. Shawn is survived by daughters Leslie Hout, Susan Vickers, Colleen Vickers and Iesha Brown; son, Shawn Vickers; sisters April Lynn Jackson, Carla Turner and Shelley Arnold; brother, Scott Eugene Stevens; a host grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great grandson, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Saturday, November 6, 2021 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE MANSFIELD, 753 McPherson St. (Formerly Williams Funeral Services). He was a great friend, supportive, and would always encourage you when and if you needed it; he had a big warm smile with a heart to match. Shawn was loved by many, and will truly be missed.

    My cousin Behavior Wade reached out to me about Shawn’s passing. I didn’t know Shawn personally but I know Scottie and knew Wayne. I’ve also met Shelley and April but they may not remember me. It was so long ago. My family are the Harrison and Oscar Matthews families in Mansfield. Scottie talked alot about Shawn and it was always with love and respect. Anyway, I just wanted them to know that I am so very sorry to hear of their brother’s passing and am keeping them all in thoughts and prayers.
