Shantevia Michelle Clardy was born on April 4, 1987 to her Mother Yvette Clardy and Father Kevin Gunnell in Columbus, Ohio. Shay transitioned to eternal rest on Saturday September 17, 2022.

Shay was a loving, caring, and fearless woman. She was tremendously strong and was devoted to her children and family.

She was truly the glue that held her family closely together. She always had room in her heart and home for others, and embodied the true meaning of being full of love. Her toughest battle may be over, but her tremendous strength, tenacity, and courage will continue to inspire those who were able to be touched by her presence.

Shay was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Willa Mae Clardy and Carol Gunnell; and cousin, Yhasmin Clardy.

Shay is survived by her five children, Zaier, Azarieah, Zahirah, Zakiyla, Zanijah. As a mother, she was so generous, loving and kind. She recently became a grandmother to her grandchild, Kehlani who she adored. She was so excited to see her family continue to grow. She is also survived by her siblings, India Reginald Coleman, Demetria, Jasmine, Kiera, Destiny, Dominic, and Shaniqua; best friend, Cita; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
