Sheila Maria Smith – born to Hazel Christine and James Preston Holmes on October 30, 1947 she departed this life on Monday November 22, 2021.

Sheila was a graduate of Columbus East High School in 1967 and she studied dietary science at the Columbus Technical Institute (CTI) currently known as Columbus State Community College.

She was a member of the Exodus Fellowship Church where the pastor is Curtis Calloway. As a member she was a Church Mother and an active participant on the pastor appreciation and welcoming committees. Sheila loved the Lord and her church family.

Sheila’s love of the Lord was reflected in her full and beautiful life. As a mother and friend she could instruct you and love you with stories from work and play. Her stories were helpful, life affirming and amusing. She drew these stories from her professional and personal experiences. She met people from all walks of life including celebrities like Diana Ross and the Jackson Five. She always had the best birthdays because it was close to Halloween.
