Sherri Marie “Marley Girl” Matthews, age 41. Sunrise December 18, 1974 and Sunset February 19, 2016. Sherri was a member of Faith Ministries. She was preceded in death by her father Sherman Flint, stepfather Doyal Freeman Jr., grandparents Joann Matthews, and Louise and Clarence Flint. Left to cherish her memory, mother Sheila Matthews-Freeman, sisters Twin Terri Matthews, Raven Matthews, Senethia Williams, Tiandera Matthews, and Delana Woodson, brothers Sherman Flint, Maurice Williams, Floyd Williams, James Freeman, Doyal Freeman, David Webb and Raynell Matthews, grandfather Frank Matthews Jr., uncle Frank (Natalie) Matthews IV, aunts Monica Long and Darlene Matthews, special nieces Jasmine Freeman, Schmyia Williams, Jayona Ford, Jalia Berry, Delana Smith and Tiandera Woodson, special cousins Johnae Jackson, Shasta Long, Terina Matthews, and Nicole Thomas, godmother, Christine Collins, godbrother Ron Beauford, special friends Kisha Peterson, Jalyne Coles, and Toby Russian and a host of other relatives and friends. The Family will receive friends from 6-9pm Monday February 29, 2016 and 10-11am Tuesday March 1, 2016 with Home Going Services to follow at 11am at Faith Ministries Church 2747 Agler Rd. Dr. C. Dexter Wise III, Eulogist Interment at Union Cemetery.

My condolences are being sent to Sheila, Terri, Cyniqua and the rest of this family. I am praying that God strengthens each of you and he continues to cover each one of you with his peace. I will miss our Marley Girl. The Bible says that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I thank God that He allowed me to meet Sherri and to know her kind and gentle spirit.

No words can express how truly sorry I am for your lost. Twin was always nice to me and a friendly ear and caring shoulder when I needed it. You all are in my prayers. She will definitely be missed.
