Shirley Mae Smith, age 84 was born March 17,1934 in Nichosville, Kentucky to Augusta and Georgia Prentice. She passed away peacefully February 27, 2019 due to a long illness.

She is preceded in death by parents, brothers George Prentice and Edward Prentice, sisters Martha Canada, and Carolyn Walker.

She leaves to cherish her memory; daughters Janice Smith, Velva Cochran, and Sheri Conner, grandchildren Shawn Smith, Shawnte Smith, Stephanie John-Callion, Maurice Tuff, Joe Conner, and Jasmine Cochran, great grandchildren Brooklynn Simms, McKenzie Ballencher, Devonte Tuff, and Alijah Fountain, sister in law Peggy Prentice, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Our family can find peace in knowing she was welcome to the gates of Heaven with open arms and greeted welcome home, job well done.

Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 10:00am Saturday, March 9, 2019 at City of Grace Church, 3350 Allegheny Ave.
