WaddellSimone

In loving memory of Simone Waddell, age 59, born to Eleanor (Whaley) Waddell on November 22, 1962 went home to be with the Lords unexpectedly on August 19, 2022.

A faithful member of 15 years presiding under Pastor Brian Keith Williams, All Nations Church up to her transition. She was an active member of Commission Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor R.D. Robey. Sister Waddell was a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was very outgoing and always kept a smile on her face. She always seemed to find a way to make those around her howl with laughter. She had a knack for making people laugh. She also was very straight forward and a bit feisty, but very loving and caring personality.

Simone worked at Kroger for 15 years and retired there. She loved her job as team leader. Simone loved her family and friends. She also loved shopping for the finer things in life; she loved her Prada, Tiffany, Pandora, Louis Vuitton, and Cocoa Chanel. She has expensive taste. She would say, “I don’t want anything cheap”. Her hobbies she loved were excursions, reading books, listening to her music; gospel and old school, like Betty Wright, Teddy Pendergrass, Loui Rawls, John P. Kee, and BeeBee & CeeCee Winans.

Simone had a special bond and love for everyone. Momma Meeks “mommy” as everyone called her had a special bond that remained solid. Simone would always visit mommy on birthdays, Mother’s Day and in between bearing gifts and a bowl full of love and laughter. They would talk and laugh for hours and hours. They enjoyed each other’s company.

Simone is preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor W. Whaley and sister, Tonya Waddell.

Simone leaves to cherish her memory, brothers, Ebenzer, Ricardo, Todd, and Rondell Waddell; sister, Yolanda Waddell; son, Steven (Mary) Waddell Meeks; daughter, Benkisha Smith of Cleveland; grandchildren, Ijahnae, Na’Aliyah, and Kameron, Kylee; and great grandchild, Promise. And a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.  She had a special love for the Meeks, Holts, Waddells, and her sister friend, Linda McCrary.

Simone will be sorely missed.
