Sonia Lynette Taylor transitioned from this life on Wednesday April 27, 2022 from an unexpected illness. Sonia was born on January 2, 1968 to Strawie L Taylor (Weaver) of Mansfield Ohio and the late Grady Alexander of Reform Alabama.
She was known for her phenomenal basketball skills while playing in the neighborhood she loved and Mansfield Senior High Lady Tygers. Following her graduating in 1986 she attended East Ohio College in East Liverpool, Ohio on a basketball scholarship.
Sonia loved to laugh, her music, and cooking for family events & gatherings.
Sonia is survived by her Mother Strawie L Taylor, Daughter Shardae C Taylor, and Son Xaivier S Taylor all of Mansfield Ohio and one brother Marvin Taylor of Coshocton, Ohio along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dearest friends.
Sonia is preceded in death by her older brother Sammie L Taylor her aunt Agnes C Weaver and father Grady Alexander.
Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Saturday, May 7, 2022 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE MANSFIELD 753 McPherson St. (formerly Williams Funeral Services).
