
Stanley D. Chatman was born December 2, 1952 and departed this life May 24, 2022 at Majestic Care Center.
Stanley graduated from Central Night School. He was a bus driver at CPS for 32 years where he retired. He was a founding member of C&D Racing, which included his brothers and nephews. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a breeder of Pit Bulls, pigeons, and chickens. He loved cars and motorcycles. He loved plants and gardening. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Stanley is preceded in death by parents, Anthony and Myrtle Chatman.
Stanley is survived by son, Dwight (Tamara) Brown; grandchildren, Dwight II, Marleah, and Dejah Lee; great grandson, Dwight III; siblings, Doris Dumas, Flora Coleman, Ray (Cheryl), and Jonathon (Sherri); nieces, Tunishia Coleman, Kelsey, Erin, and Kristen Chatman; nephews, Vernice and Dominic Dumas; and a host of aunts, cousins, and friends.
Visitation 1:00pm and Memorial Service 2:00pm Friday, June 3, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Ms. Dumas, Jonathon and family: My mom, (the late) Betty Bosley Peele worked with Mr. Stan. Numerous times Mr. Stan blessed us with his rare breed of pit bull dogs .We were always amazed at the care and dedication he displayed about his animals. His memory will live on in my heart. My sincere condolences to Stan’s family! I had the honor of working with Stan at CCS! When he retired, I got to drive his bus! Ray, Stan would talk about you alot! Stan was a very sweet man! When he found out I used to work for BB in the bakery, he ask me if I knew you! Prayers to your family!
