Star Lynnette Randall was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 28, 1955 to parents Erma Greathouse and Robert Clemons. She departed this earthly plane on June 14, 2020 at 4:50am. She married Robert Randall and relocated to Hawaii right after graduating from high school.

Star attended Columbus State Community College and received an Associates in Liberal Arts from Windward Community College. She also graduated from Nationwide Beauty Academy as a licensed nail technician. As a medical technician in the United States Air Force, Star attained the rank of Sergeant. A manager at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, she retired in 2016. Working for a great discount with JCPenney. Lady Star was a member of New Covenant Believers Church.

Star lived a 5-Star life, had a 5-Star voice and a 5-Star attitude! She was creatively blessed as well- performing as a singer of both gospel and R&B. Her passion for dancing was artfully displayed as a member of the Chocolate Stars dance group and the Best of Beauty show team. As recent as 2019, Star made cameo appearances onstage in “Theatre Meets the Church” and the upcoming film, “Things are Tough All Over”. Assisting with homelessness feedings. She also walked so lovely Modeling At the Table Cancer Survivor event.

Star believed and lived her life to the fullest, “God has blessed me and I want to enjoy those blessings. Despite the up and down moments, I live to love God and those that are most important to me understand that.” Star was loved and adored by many. Her passion and love of family, friends and life made Star shine! Being a Breast Cancer survivor in 2010 Star’s love and passion rode into the Motorcycle Club (SaddleTramps) playing a supportive role riding to cycle retirement January 2019.

Star is preceded in death by father, Robert Clemons; granddaughter, Imani Star Randall; and uncle, Orlando Epps.

Star leaves to celebrate the life and cherish the memory of the amazing woman she was, mother, Erma Greathouse; son, Robert ”Baby-son” (Hilary) Randall; daughter, JaMez Aloha (Damian R. Harris) Burton; stepdaughter, Monee “Grands” Randall; grandchildren, Passion Randall, Precious Randall, Ariston Randall, Paige Randall, Sirgio and Saige Harris; brothers, Reginald (Kelly) Eskridge, Mark Christopher (Da’dra) Greathouse, Victor Michael (Denise) Greathouse, David Greathouse, and Kerry (Marge) Benton; OTHER BROTHERS; sisters Toya (Jeff) Watts, Kimberly Roberts, Carolyn (Mike) Sheppard, and Treva Reese, OTHER SISTERS; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

You are still our Shining Star! And you will forever shine in our hearts. You lived what life could truly be, and we are grateful to have been blessed with your love!

My condolences to the family. I have known Jennifer “Star” since LM high school. She let Bobbie take me to our Sr. Prom. since my boyfriend was in the Marines. I attended their wedding. We were both born on May 28th but a year apart. I loved her very much. I remember her wonderful smile and loving nature. She will be missed.

I worked closely with Star as a co-Manager at Anthem. As everyone has said, Star always had a smile and a positive outlook regardless of the circumstances. I am blessed to have known Star as a friend and co-worker. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to Star’s family and friends.

I previously owned the Smoothie King in Gahanna and Star was a regular. She was always so bubbly and vivacious. She had the best smile. It was always a great time to chat with her when she would come in the store. I am so sad to hear of her passing. Praying for her family and friends that I know miss her dearly. She was an amazing woman and will never be forgotten.
