Theresa Elizabeth Kemp went to Heaven on February 9, 2021 to spend her eternal life in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was born on February 22, 1942 to the late Ernest & Mildred Cummings.

She is survived by her husband Rudy Kemp, by her sons Antjuan (Belinda) Jack and Adrian (Christine) Jack, sister Phyllis Tolbert, brothers Ernest Cummings, William (Madeline) Cummings, and David (Marvella) Cummings, 17 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other family members and friends.

Preceded in death by her son Aaron Jack and Great Granddaughter Aryianna Miller.

Theresa married her husband Rudy Kemp on September 22, 2012. She was loved dearly by her husband.

Theresa retired from the United States Post Office. She was a member of World Harvest Church. She did not wave in her belief and faith in Jesus Christ. Theresa was a beloved and devoted mother and Nana to her 17 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was a caring sister to her siblings. A loved Aunt by her Nephews and Nieces. Her family was her blessing and joy. An endearing friend to all she met. She gave support, guidance, and unconditional love. She loved holidays and family get-togethers. She especially loved Christmas and decorating her Christmas tree in colors of red and gold. Theresa loved cooking for her family. She made the best Sweet Potato Pie. She loved watching old Westerns and Chuck Norris on Walker Texas Ranger. She loved camping and couldn’t wait until summer to pitch a tent.

Theresa had unwavering kindness. She had a giving heart and would help anyone that she could. As we all know her family grew from her “adopting” new family members. Theresa was Mom, Nana, Auntie, and Sister to them all.

Her life was an example of the bible verse Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

PRIVATE Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Union Grove Cemetery.
