POWELL,

Thomas Powell, age 90.  Sunrise February 9, 1925 in Combs, KY and Sunset February 9, 2015 in Columbus, OH.  He was a U.S Army WW II Veteran.  Mr. Powell was retired as Maintenance Supervisor II at City of Columbus Division of Water.  He is a former member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where he served with the Choir and Usher Ministries and current member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Delia Hawkins Powell and wife Bettie Powell.   Left to cherish his memory, daughters Javona P. Dawson and Keyona S. Peck, sister Annie Ruth King, grandchildren Aaliyah J. Dawson and Javonte’ A. Davenport, special nieces Donna Moore and Sharon Horton and a host of other family and friends.  Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00 noon Saturday February 14, 2015 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Northlawn Memory Gardens.
