Thomasine J. Taylor, age 73. Sunrise December 10, 1944 in Mansfield, OH and Sunset May 13, 2018 in Columbus, OH.

Lovingly known at ‘Tomi’ by friends and family, she fancied herself a musician early in life, trying her hand at the violin, and saxophone in her early school years. Upon discovering musical instruments weren’t exactly in her realm of expertise, she found other outlets for her energy, becoming a voracious reader – reading everything she could get her hands on. Shortly after graduating from Mansfield Senior High in 1962, she went into banking and worked in the industry her entire career until retiring – twice!

Tomi was self-taught in multiple crafting areas. She was recognized as an awesome seamstress and known to gift he loved ones handmade quilts, knitted and crocheted blankets, cross-stitched pictures, and beautifully crafted homemade cards and jewelry. She loved to cook and bake and would whip up a delicious peach cobbler in a heartbeat, just because she loved to see her family smile.

Tomi was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Bessie Lawson (Perry). Left to cherish her memory, daughter Elizabeth L. Taylor, daughter in love, Kimberly Crawford; grandchildren, Courtney M. and Ciara M. Williams, Le Renzo Bond, Jaquwon Crawford; brother, Frank (Jeannie) Lawson; Sister Linda (Theodore) Grace; special son, Pernell (Keisha) Allen, ex-spouse and close friend Walter Taylor, and a host of other family and friends.

Tomi was a genuine ray of sunshine with a smile that would light up a room and laughter that was contagious. She was the best mother, a loving and attentive grandmother, a protective sister, cousin, aunt, and a true friend. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation 12:00 noon and Memorial Service 1:00pm Saturday May 19, 2018 at New Life Baptist Church 538 Wayne St., Mansfield, OH
