Thurman T. Cunningham 76 went home to be with the Lord, October 1, 2020.

Thurman attended Main High School in Floyd County Rome, Georgia and gave his life to Christ at Flat Rock Baptist Church. He was employed with Cmacco for 25 years where he was known as Mr. C. He joined Christ of Apostolic Faith Cols, OH under the leadership of Bishop Ronald E. Davis. He was on the Deacon Board, sang in the choir, and would work whenever and where he was needed. Once he retired, he kept busy doing yard work, working on cars, or in his man cave. He spent time with family and the famous football club where he traveled. Family was embedded in Thurman from delivering cornbread and buttermilk to a family in need from his mom in Georgia to walking you through a crisis from beginning until he could see you on the other side. He would tell you, “It’s going to be alright; God knows what He’s doing!”

Thurman is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Julia Cunningham; brothers, Eugene, Emmanuel, Jimmy, and Milton; and sisters, Phyllis, Rebecca, Bernice, Emma Jean, Gertrude, and Blanche.

Thurman leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife, Yolanda Cunningham; sons, Thurman (Ernestine) and Tolliver (Destinee); daughters, Sharie (Aaron) Banks, Miranda (Carlos) Harriston, Jamy (Maurice) Price, April, and Tiffany. Thurman spent a lot of time with granddaughter Torrie (Precious); 19 other grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Herman, Roy Dean, Richard, and Bernard; 3 sisters, Gloria Faye (Fraizer), Cheryl, and Jo Ellen; Sister and Brother in-laws; Marie Green, Sheila Holmes, Ella (Greg) Scott, Timmy (Denise) Holmes, Special Friend; Pamela Sims, and a host of many nieces, nephews, and friends.
