Timothy P. Holland

Timothy (Tim) P. Holland was born on May 24, 1961, in Camp Springs, MD, to Constance Poellnitz and Welton Holland. He was raised in Sunderland, Maryland by his late grandparents Rosher and Elnora Holland. On June 8, 2023, God suddenly called Tim home.

Tim graduated from Northern High School and he also attended Charles County Community College, Charles County, MD, where he studied Health Physics. He worked as a Health Physics and Industrial Hygienist Hazardous Waste Management Professional for 25 years, in the nuclear field with a variety of specializations including oil, air, water collection and shipping. His specialized job started at the Calvert Cliffs Plant in Calvert County, MD, and afforded him the opportunity to work in many states such as Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Maine, California, Nevada, Chicago and finally New York where he was a supervisor.

Tim was a devoted man of God, who cherished his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family with boundless love and care. His unwavering support and presence in their lives were a source of strength and comfort, and his absence will be deeply felt by those who were closest to him. Tim’s dedication to his family served as a testament to the values he held dear – the values of love, loyalty, and unwavering commitment. He loved spending time with his grandkids, cleaning his vehicles and watching sports.

Throughout his life, Tim mentored young adult men, refereed for Columbus Recreation Centers, and served as a Deacon at New Birth Christian Ministries. He embraced his responsibilities with the utmost devotion. He not only joined a weekly prayer line, praying and covering endless people, but he would go to the homeless shelter and speak and offer words of encouragement to those who had fallen on hard times. If God gave him a word to share, he shared it, and many of us were blessed to receive a daily, weekly, or random texted scripture. The text would come unexpectedly but would be the word you needed to hear to get you through. In the church he was a pillar of strength, a beacon of hope, and a source of inspiration for all who knew him. His genuine compassion, unwavering dedication, and selfless service to our church and community will forever be etched in our hearts.

He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Rosher and Elnora Holland; parents Welton Holland and Constance Poellnitz; siblings Mario Holland and MonaLisa (Eric) Handon; son Keion Fields. Following death, Father-in-Law, Earl Fields Jr.

He is survived by his wife Kimberly Holland; Children Keysa Bullard, Kyle Fields, Brandy Wright, Doug Wright, Dajon Sweeney and William Houston; Mother-in-Law Jean Fields; Siblings Derrick (Stephanie) Pringle, Martin “Tony” (Lanya) Holland, Pamela (Dennis) Lewis, Dainer (Lemuel) Hunter, Paula (Sherman) Johnson, Crystel (Odell) Scott, Marcus (Jacqueline) Holland, Melissa (Anton) Mitchell, Marquita Holland, Michael Brooks and Dennis Brooks; Spiritual Parents Thomas and Mattie Downs and Vincent Johnson; his 18 grandkids and a host of uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.

Condolence Messages

  1. Clifton "Cliff" Sparrow

Tim Holland was a great man of God. We had just started our neighborhood “prayer” walk. I joked with Tim and told him it was about time to pray…lol…We had met outside my home. We got caught up in talking about the “goodness” of God that we forgot the purpose of our meeting. I will miss my Brother. This is not a “goodbye” my friend but a “i will see you later”. Praying with you family! Be blessed!!!

  2. We can’t begin to imagine what you are feeling, but
please let us share our heartfelt condolences. In times of distress
we need comfort that soothe the heart.
May the peace of God guard your hearts. Thinking of you all.

Tim is a true man of God. I have seen him in action, giving a word of encouragement, telling others about Christ, discussing scripture. Tim is a family man, who loves his wife, children and grandchildren.
Although Tim is not with us on this side of Heaven, he is not past tense, he is. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I can say with confidence, he is with the Lord and we as believers will see him again. Christ is soon to return, let’s be ready because getting ready could be too late.

First and foremost, sending prayers of strength to Aunt Kim and the family. Uncle Tim was truly an amazing man with a loving heart. I was not fortunate to spend any time with him through these later years, but the moments I shared with him during my adolescence played an extreme role in who I am to day. Witnessing the way he loved, protected, and provided for his family he was truly an amazing example. May his soul rest peacefully.

My BroBro Timmy.. We reunited last May when my Daddy/his “Pops” got his wings. Timmy texted me almost every day since he heard of Daddy’s passing. He’s been a source of strength and encouragement since then. I miss the morning tezt messages with devotional reading from the “Jesus Always” book. I miss your jokes, your prayers, the funny way you laughed, that bright smile, the genuine care you showed over the years and across the miles. You immediately loved on my husband and our son. Jr misses hearing about his Uncle Timmy but he understands that your appointment with God couldn’t be camcelled or rescheduled. IT IS WELL! We 3 will see you on the other side BroBro!
p.s. don’t eat all the cake til we get there
    Your Sis,
    Cassaundra (Casey)

Tim was a strong beacon of light not only to his family, but to so many others. We should only hope that we can use our life the way that he did to help and bless others. Rest in Peace, your legacy will continue to be a blessing. My deepest condolences to the family.

  13. My nephew in love was a great man. If I were writing a book, and I titled the book Stepping Up, the book would about Tim. Not only did I love him for whom he was, I also respected him for what he brought to our family. Rest Easy Tim and enjoy your mansion. You will be missed!

Tim felt “closer than a brother” and I miss him dearly. We worked together, we ate together and we prayed together. His family was my family and I thank God for the impact his love and sincere prayers made in my life and the life of my family. We are praying continually for Kim and the children. We are praying that you would experience the “Peace that surpasses all understanding” knowing that my brother and friend is being comforted in God’s presence.
