Tondalaya Regina Nation-Trammell was born January 30, 1956, in Brookside, Alabama to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Bettie Nation.

Tondalaya preceded in death by her parents, Bettie and Arthur Nation; Godmothers Rubie Marcus and Idella Gaffney; sisters Althea (Alfred) Bufford, Beulah Coleman; brother-in-law, Robert Trammell; and sister-in-law, Corine Mayfield.

Tondalaya departed this life Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 12:00pm.

Tondalaya leaves her beloved family to mourn her passing and treasure her memories, husband of 25 years George Trammell; son, David (Carlisha) Trammell; stepchildren, George (Patricie) Trammell Jr., Juma (Kia) Lyles, and Tracy (Jason) Trammell; granddaughter, Nia Nation-Trammell; grandson, Yasir Trammell all of Columbus, Ohio; sisters; Demetrice (Rayford) Poole, Daphne Nation, Tammy Mack, Pearlie (Alan) Jackson, and Zane Nation; godsister, Ann Marcus; and two very close friends who were like sisters, Michelle and Della; brother, Alfonso Jones; godbrother, Leonard Marcus;  and a host of uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Saturday, December 17, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

    I’m so sorry I wasn’t there for you. Had I known I would have been. Connie was a very sweet and kind person with a lot of love in her heart.
