Trena was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 4, 2019 peacefully at home following a brief illness.

Trena grew up in Zanesville but moved to Columbus in 1983 with her daughters Angela and Terra, and the love of her life Freeman Booker Jr. in reach for a better life for her and her family. Trena earned her GED in 1988 and obtained employment with ODTFS as a claims examiner, a position she enjoyed for over 25 years helping others until she retired in 2009.

Trena accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized on September 6, 1997 by Bishop Timothy J. Clarke and later rededicated her life to God under the leadership of Pastor Lance Humphrey on October 3, 2006 and received full membership of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the nurse and missionary ministry .

Trena loved her family, friends, pastor, first lady, and her Mt. Zion family so much, even while she was ill she attended services escorted by her grandson Aja faithfully.

Trena is preceded in death by parents Barbara Ransom Hayes Wiggins, and Charles R. Johnson, husband Freeman Booker Jr., daughter Terra Dawn Ransom, brother Chauncey Dean Tables, sister Shelvie L. Hayes, and nephew Teqwan Wiggins.

To Aja, you have been an amazing grandson and a blessed young man. Continue to let God use you because you have work to finish. I love you all forever and always more.

Now send me on my way Pastor Humphrey, and thank you so much for always being there for me. I love you all and there’s nothing you can do about it.

  6. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the Booker Family in this their time of loss. The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” Until we meet again, Vicky Joe and Family

To the Booker family. My heart is with you and your family at this time of your loss. There is comfort in knowing God’s promises about the resurrection hope. (Acts 24:15) and (John 5:28,29) In the past God has resurrected humans and He is eager to do it again because He hates death. (Mark 5:41-43) It is not God’s purpose originally for mankind to grow old, get sick and die. To learn more about God’s promises go to JW.ORG. There are online Bible study lessons featured and more. Love, Your Neighbor Irish J. Richardson
