Tyrone S. Vines was born on March 25th. 1940 in Logan, West Virginia and called to his Heavenly home on May 11th. 2022.

A graduate of Marshall High School, Tyrone later moved to Columbus Ohio. He went to school and became a mechanic. A veteran of the U.S Army, Tyrone later owned and operated an antique shop.

Affectionately known as “Granpoppe” by loved ones, Grandpoppe loved football with a passion and coached a local youth football team. Forever caring and thoughtful, when a member of his football team perished in a car accident, Grandpoppe took his V.A. check and used it to pay for the boy’s funeral expenses.

He loved spending time with his family, gardening and worshiping the Lord for many years at Higher Ground. Although he departed unexpectedly, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all in the community.

Preceded in death by father; Roosevelt Vines Sr., mother; Gevena Vines, brothers; Roosevelt “Sonny”, Ronnie, Lorenzo, and sister; Joyce.

Loved and cherished by; mother of his children; D. Craft, loving children Bridgette Craft, Tyrone Avery Craft, Janelle Craft, grandchildren,  special cousin; Dawn and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Monday, May 23, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment  Eastlawn Cemetery.
