Ulrica V. Glover, 88, of Columbus, passed away on April 27, 2021, with her loving daughters at her side. She lived on the east side of Columbus and graduated from East High school with the class of 1951.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother to 3 daughters, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. She provided loving care for each generation.  All enjoyed her love for putting together puzzles, coloring books, and playing games. Each can recite warm and colorful memories created while she provided care for them.  They enjoyed all kinds of fun and sometimes mischievous activities on Bill and Reecie’s acres of land on Sunbury Road.

Reecie was an avid bowler and bowled in several leagues throughout Columbus.  She enjoyed lively debates and loved initiating thought-provoking conversations. Many topics centered around bible-based issues.  She would often write notes on topics that she looked forward to discussing with family members.

While living at Wesley Ridge, you could often see her playing Scrabble with residents.  She was very successful in finding imaginative ways to use all her tiles to add to her points and win the game!  Reecie had a generous heart and supported a wide variety of charities and organizations, both local and nationwide.

Reecie was preceded in death by her parents: Albert Johnson Sr. and Comtessee (Thomas) Johnson. Her Loving Husband, William H. Glover, Jr. Brothers: Albert Johnson, Jr., Joseph Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Arthur Johnson and sister, Venita Johnson.

She is survived by sisters: Vonzella (John) Lundy, Imo (Terriest) Corbitt, Alfrieda (Joe) Young. Daughters: Gwen Vinson, Renelda Alexander, and Darris (Jay) Irvin. Grandchildren: Steven A. Vinson, Stacey Alexander, Danielle Alexander, Raegan (Rhett) Engleright, Benjamin Alexander, Darrin (Iliana) Irvin, Timothy (Frances) Irvin, BreAnne Irvin, and Jayla Irvin. Great-grandchildren: Dairrick Alexander, Raphael Turner, Devin Weeks, Savion Turner, Caleb Turner, Jalen Radke, Cameron Turner, Journi Irvin, and Keira Alexander; and one great-great grandson, Skyler Alexander, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Private Visitation 1:00 PM and Private Funeral Service 2:00 PM Monday, May 3, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).
