Mr. Van Douglas Darling III, 25 of Reynoldsburg, OH. Lovingly known to his family as “Mini”, to his friends as “Diezel”, and to his mother as “Dougie”. Van departed this life Sunday, April 10, 2016. Van was born December 21, 1990 in Columbus, OH; the son of Eula “Tiny” Conley and Van Darling, Jr.

In his younger years he started his love of sports with playing little league football. As a child he was always happy go lucky and very loving to his family and friends. Van attended Reynoldsburg City Schools throughout high school. In high school he was a member of the varsity basketball team. He was an avid basketball van with his favorite being the Los Angeles Lakers and favorite player Kobe Bryant.

Van is predeceased by his paternal grandfather Van Darling.

Left to cherish his memory mother, Eula “Tiny” Conley, of Columbus, OH; father, Van Darling II, of Youngstown, OH; son, Damari Anderson Darling; girlfriend, Shayla Anderson; stepchildren, Denasia, Dylan, and Daylan, all of Reynoldsburg, OH; sister, Donisha (Malachi) Conley, of Columbus, OH; brothers, Reginald Conley, of Columbus, OH , Jazzmen Blackmon, Dominique Darling, and Rocky Dailey, of Youngstown, OH; grandparents, Priscilla Conley, of Columbus, OH, Bishop R.F. (Minnie) Whitehead, of Palm Springs, CA, and Phyllis James, of Youngstown, OH; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Visitation 6pm and Funeral 7pm Monday, April 25, 2016 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave.
