Virginia Bell Angel Branker, age 88, passed away June 30, 2020.

Virginia graduated in 1950 from East High School in Columbus, Ohio. She raised her family in Detroit, while employed and retired by the Budd Co.

Virginia graduated from Wayne Community College with an Associate of Arts degree. In 1989, she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Theta Tau Chapter at Marygrove College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work in 1991 from Marygrove College in Detroit, MI.

Virginia leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Leroy Branker; children, Darryl Angel, Lynda Angel, Jennifer Angel-Gardner, and Sylvester C. (Leslyn) Angel III; grandchildren, Darceen Angel, Darryl Angel Jr., Jessica Angel, Ernest P. Gardner II, Crystal N. Angel, and Lauren Angel; and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation 12:00pm and Funeral 1:00pm Wednesday, July 9, 2020 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.

I am sorry I could not be there personally for Aunt Virginia’s service today however, my heart is filled with much love for the family (my cousins) Lynda, Jennifer, Darryl, and Sylvester. Until we see our love ones again, we will continue to cherish our precious memories which keeps them close to our hearts every day to come.
