Walter Lee Campbell, Sr. was born on September 9, 1946 to Walter Houston and Roxanne Campbell. He passed away peacefully on August 22, 2022.

Walt Sr. received his education through Columbus City Schools. Walt Sr. was married to Bertha Louise on September 17, 1963. From that union they had 4 children. He was an avid fisherman, he loved fishing. Over the years Walt was employed with Jack Conte & Sons, Cody Construction, and Savco. He was a hard worker, and he played even harder. Walt was a founder and member of the Trojans Motorcycle Club. He was also a comedian; he loved to laugh and tell jokes. He loved spending time with family. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, and friend.

Walt Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Houston and Roxanne Campbell; wife, Bertha Louise Campbell; brother, Laverne Campbell; daughter, Shrinay Ransom; and friend, Frances Forney.

Walt Sr. is survived by his children, Lisa (Fred) Clarke, Walter (Tina) Campbell Jr., Anita (Rick) Crawley, Romero (Sabrina) Ranson, Wanda (Derrick) Cain, Troy Forney, Serica Ranson, Anthony (Ul’Ique) Campbell, Charles Ranson, and Darnell (Victoria) Ranson; 81 grandchildren; 132 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Rosetta Lee Butcher and Harry Lee Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; including very special friend, Audrey- together they raised 5 children.

Papa was a rolling stone, with a lot of love to give. To have known him was to love him.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Monday, August 29, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
