Walter Palmer

Walter James Palmer, age 38, was born on April 2, 1982 at Ohio State University Hospital. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

Walter, affectionately known to all who loved him as “Buddy”, attended Marion-Franklin High School. He was a quiet, yet kind man and as his final act of kindness, Buddy donated his organs to give the gift of life to others so that they could live on in his honor.

Buddy was an avid gamer. He loved movies, Little Cesar’s pizza, cars, and visiting friends and family, if only for a few minutes. Buddy also cherished the camper that his brother gave to him. Buddy’s stubbornness was legendary but his love for his family was strong. He loved all of our children and they loved him because Buddy was a gentle giant, just like his father. He was a caretaker of his father, uncle, and grandmother for many years until their deaths.

Buddy only wanted to love…and be loved.

Buddy leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Bobby (Joy) Palmer, Jr.; stepmother, Billie Joe Palmer, stepbrothers, Norman and Joey Hysell; grandmother, Barbara A. Banner and grandfather, Joseph Smith; aunts, Candy Tuff, Carol L. Thomas, and Juanita A. Thomas; nephews, Deyln and De’Veon Palmer; nieces, Dey’Leana and De’Veana Palmer; girlfriend, Larita Harris and a host of family and friends.

Buddy is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby J. and Patricia A. Palmer; grandparents, George H. and Betty A. Watkins; uncles, Eddie B. Thomas, Jr., Robert J. Palmer, Jr., Charles E. Palmer, Sr., Walter L. Palmer, and John F. Palmer; aunts, Jackaline Y. Thomas, Dortha A. Palmer-Trent and Barbara Y. Palmer.

Mask and Gloves are mandatory.

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
