William Lawrence Walker entered this life on May 11, 1945 at Grant Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was the 2nd born of Raymond Walker Sr. and Mary Price Walker with 11 siblings to follow.

He attended St. Dominic Catholic and Columbus Public Schools. William had several jobs over time and retired from Jones Topsoil after 43 years. He loved watching both Westerns, and wrestling; riding his motorcycles, and talking on the CB radio from his home.

William battled with COPD until it made his breathing almost impossible and God said “enough”. He departed this life at home on November 2, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Walker, Sr.; mother, Mary Price Walker; grandparents, Michael and Lula Walker, and Alonzo and Margaret Price; wife, Linda Simms Walker; infant son, William Walker Jr.; brother, Charles “Mack” Walker; daughter, Renee Tucker; aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory, children, Anthony Morris, Dwane (Shelly) Callender, Tracy Callender, Lawrence (Gina) Walker, Lois Pitts, Terry Taylor, Electoria (Ron) Wilder, Tina (Mike) Frost, Lucretia Turner, and Maurice Walker; brothers, James (Beverly) Walker, Raymond Walker Jr. Ronnie (Norma) Walker, Joe Walker, Tommy (Cindy) Walker, Gary Walker, and Terry Walker; sisters, Linda (Charles) Haynes, Lois (William) Monroe, Joanne Steele, and Deborah (Larry) Evans; 27 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and many, many friends. He also leaves to cherish his memory his life partner of 25 years, Pamela Allen.

Visitation 9:00AM and Funeral Service 10:00AM Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Smyrna Baptist Church, 1650 Wilson Ave 43207.

Interment at Glen Rest.

  7. I never Mr. Walker but I was and still am a good friend with one of his brothers. I Know how close this family is so he will be terribly missed.
