William McKinley “Bill”Jones was born in Evington,Virginia on October 18, 1946 to McKinley Jones and Christine (Rhodes) Jones. He was called by Lord on Friday December 7, 2018.
He was a member of the Christ Cathedral Church and he served on the Usher board. For well over 40 years Bill was apassionate painter and shared his love for carpentry with many. He was best known for his signature swirledimprintedceilings.He enjoyed being a grandfather adored his grandchildren. He was also known for his ability to make a fashion statement.
Bill was preceded in death by his parentsMcKinley and Christine Jones, son Timothy Jones, brothers Raymond Jones and Pearl Jones, sister Christine Jones and son in law Johnny Talbert Sr.
He leaves to celebrate his memory; wife Yolanda Jones, children William “Billy” Jones,Kimberly (Dennis) Gullick, Nicholas (Christine) Jones, Uwangi Talbert, and Christy Jones (Louis) Jordan, Fifteen (15) grandchildren,Seven (7)great-grandchildren,sister Pauline (Julius) Cotton, brother James (Cheryl)Jones,special niece Debbie (Eddie) McClendon and a host of other family and friends.
William McKinley “Bill” Jones will be forever missed by all whom had the honor of knowing him. His legacy will be celebrated by those who loved him.
Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Monday, December 17, 2018 at Christ Cathedral Church, 3350 Allegheny Ave.
Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
