Willie James Chambliss was born on April 16, 1965, in Ft. Payne, Alabama to the union of Joe L. Chambliss and Ella M. Chambliss. He passed away of natural causes on November 29, 2021.
Willie was a people person and could talk with anyone. He loved going to family gatherings, hanging out with friends, watching cooking shows (Avery Good Chef).
Willie was a loving son, brother, uncle, friend and cousin. He will always be remembered for doing the best he could do at whatever he was doing, dancing and having a cocktail (as he would put it) just enjoying life.
Willie is preceded in death by our (Father) Joe Chambliss, (Mother), Ella Chambliss, (Grandmother) Iva Harrison.
He leaves to cherish his memories, Brothers, George Chambliss, Barry Chambliss and Frederick Chambliss; Sister, Sharon Chambliss and Sherry Chambliss; Uncle Willie Joyner and Aunt Mae (Carl) Royal. Lifelong Friends, Tammy Dixon, Pepsi Jackson, Wendy Cochran, and Duane Mullins as well as a host of nieces, cousins and friends.
Private Visitation 1:00 PM and Private Memorial Service 2:00 PM Saturday, December 11, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).

My cousin Willie i will miss you dearly you always put a smile on my face when you came around to visit… I can’t believe your gone but to a better place in heaven… You feel no more pain your soul can rest now cousin… Missing all the good times we have shared never a dull moment between us… FlyHigh cousin Will love you always… Too all my cousins preacher Barry my twin cousins Sharon & Sherry and Fred Chambliss i love you all and have my deepest condolences so sorry for our loss God bless!
