On Wednesday, September 5, 2018, Willie McKnight Jr., loving son, brother, and father of two, passed away at age 53.

Willie James McKnight Jr. was born January 15, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY. to Willie James McKnight Sr., and Earther Lee Dunlap-McKnight. He was the third of six children born to his mother. As a child he loved playing basketball and had a heart for stray animals. He was a sweet child who grew into a generous man. In his early 20s, he moced to Charlotte, NC. and later had a son Uneek Jerome McKnight. In his late 20s he moved to Columbus, Ohio where he fathered his daughter JehDeiah Mixon and later pursued a career in security and law enforcement.

Willie was a no-nonsense kind-of-guy, known for his trademark, wearing his sunglasss on the back of his head. He was an avid music lover with a vast collection, and was always the best unofficial DJ and bartender at many social gatherings. Willie had his own style of Brooklyn boy dancing. In his down time he enjoyed watching the latest movies and reading psychology material online. His original catch phrases, wild stories, and uncommon wisdom will be missed.

Willie is preceded in death by mother Earther, and brothers Jerome and Tyrone.

He leaves to cherish his memories; father Willie, children Uneek Jerome, and JehDeiah, sisters Elaine, LaTisha, and brother Robert (Patricia), also a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
