Willie Lee Moore

Willie Moore Main Phtoto

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Willie Lee Moore, age 29, our most beloved son, family member and friend, made his transition from this earth suddenly on August 26, 2020 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio.

A loving son and best friend to his Mother, Willie was born June 5, 1991 to Carlton Willie Moore and Terry Lee Riley. He was born in this world with mental and physical challenges that medical professionals said he would not overcome. But Willie and his mother knew God and his earthly challenges did not become a hindrance for a life lived with courage, enthusiasm, and quiet dignity.
Willie grew up in Columbus, Ohio and was supported through life at the Early Childhood Development Program, West Central and the Northeast School, where he graduated May 30, 2012. He learned to sit up unassisted, feed himself with a spoon, was independently active in a wheelchair and could stand tall on his own. Those who knew Willie, even a little, lost a shining star in their constellation of life.

Willie is survived by his parents, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his maternal adoptive and biological grandparents, and his paternal grandparents. He is now with his grandparents and is loved eternally by those here and in heaven.
