Yao “Ezekiel” Ekoude Essy was born December 21, 1989 and departed this earthly life on November 1, 2020.

Ezekiel was born in the Republic of Togo to a Ghanaian mother in West Africa. He spent most of his life in Togo before moving to the United States in 2016. He is survived by an aged mother and siblings, all in Africa. He has no blood family in the United States except for his church family.

We met Ezekiel in 2019 when he visited our Church in Columbus, Ohio. He was a lover of Christ and he was dedicated to the things of God. He was very active in the Usher Department and a member of the Prayer Warrior Team. He was very helpful and always willing to drive members to and from Church.

Ezekiel was very pleasant and smiled at everyone. He was a pleasure to all he met. Ezekiel fell sick in August this year and was diagnosed with Kidney Failure, and weekly dialysis at St. Ann’s Hospital. He died in his sleep

Ezekiel will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of missing him. May his Precious Soul Rest in perfect peace.
