Yvonne Denise Gray (Townsend) was born August 23,1949 to the union of Norman Townsend Sr. and Bessie Townsend. Yvonne peacefully departed this life on July 10, 2019 in Columbus Ohio.
Yvonne attended and graduated from the Westwood School District in Michigan. In 1967 she married Richard A Gray and from that union a daughter Kimberly Gray was born. Yvonne was affectionately known as Duck/Mama Duck. She always spoke her mind, and didn’t mix her words. She lived her life to the fullest making all laugh along her journey.
She worked for Crown Plaza and Hampton hotels. She enjoyed working for both companies. If you was looking for her, you would find her at home watching her Western movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Yvonne was preceded in death by parents and 2 brothers.
She leaves to keep her memory alive, 2 daughters Kimberly Frederick – Brown and Patricia Patterson, 3 sons, Warner ” Maurice” Smith, Londra Gray, Marcus Patterson, 3 Sisters, 15 Grandchildren, 4 Great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Friday July 19, 2019 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
