Arvin C McGhee Sr. was born June 21, 1960 in Columbus Ohio to the late Otis and Helen McGhee. Arvin departed this life on Friday December 24, 2021.

Arvin’s parents relocated to Cleveland Ohio where Arvin was educated in the Cleveland public schools and later attended Shaw High school.

Arvin then enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country from April 4, 1979 until January 12, 1985. While enlisted he married his childhood sweetheart Denise White on June 19, 1983 (married 38 years).

Arvin enjoyed fishing, doing home improvement projects, and being with family. PAWPAW (Arvin) LOVED his grandkids; they were his pride and joy.

Arvin was a very talented welder at Central Ohio welding. “After years of working as an employee for others, Arvin made the endeavor into entrepreneurship starting his own business “Olabee’s Trucking”.

“Arvin obeyed the gospel of our Lord Jesus and was baptized into Christ on June 11, 2021 at the Miller Rd church of Christ in Columbus Ohio.

Arvin was preceded in death by his fathe,r Otis McGhee; mother, Helen McGhee; brother, Ricky Townsell; and sister, Bonita McGhee.

Arvin leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Denise McGhee; three sons, Lionel White, Arvin McGhee Jr., and Ricardo McGhee all of Columbus Ohio; one daughter, Arlena Turner of Cleveland Ohio; five grandchildren, Rakeyo, Miracle, Yvette, Vivian, and Denise; one brother, Joseph Townsell; one sister, Dyana McGhee both of Cleveland Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Regina White, Renee White and Michelle White; a special brother-in-law, Daniel White; brother-in-law, Eugene White; best friends, Jasper Prather and Brian Walls; special friend, Doris Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Friday, January 7, 2022 at  MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
