And hearing all the complements of your character I already knew it was such a pleasure helping mommy raise such a wonderful man that didn’t take no mess while you always let it be known that you were blessed by the Best The Most High. I can still hear your voice when I say to you “That’s why you look like me” and you would respond “No my eyebrows do” then we would say I Love you and then hang up. Thank you my brother for ALL the blessings and memories of you. And I promise to make sure your princess will always have things and memories reminding her of you since she is only 5. One more thing BIGG sister as you called me Thank you for being here for your nephew since he grew up with all of us since I had him when I was a teenager. I am so hurt that you are gone first of us 4 siblings since I am the oldest but when I look back you been preparing us for your departure the last couple years. All is well with your soul and job well done. Remember while your hugging mommy give her a couple from all of us.You’ve already made it see you when I get there. Loving you missing you already.

My cousin Carlton, you are my heart. Even though we grew up 3,000 miles away from each other, we were always each other’s greatest cheerleader. It is so unreal that you are no longer a phone call or text away. Who will I call to laugh with about family drama now? I will forever treasure my last voicemail from you with words of love and encouragement. One thing that does give me tremendous comfort is that I know you were truly happy and had all the desires of your heart: a strong relationship with God, a wonderful wife that you adored, two beautiful daughters who were your world, a home filled with love, and a job you enjoyed. My Dear Family truly I was saddened to hear of Carlton passing. Oh, how I respected him, because he was a man integrity & genuine. I was so saddened to hear this unexpected and shocking news. I’m still in shock as I remember the last conversation I had with Carlton the night before I flew out, ending with the words of “I’ll see you as soon as I get back” as I was sure of it. Carlton often reminded me of Philippians 2:3-4 and he the embodiment of it. I wish I could’ve been there for his service. My heart goes out to you at this time of grief.
