DDavid Lloyd Alexander was born to the union of Lucille and James Alexander on December 30, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio. He departed from life on November 17, 2019.
David graduated from West High School and attended The Ohio State University. He worked as a nurse’s aide and often did volunteer work for the Salvation Army.
David did his trial sermon as a minister of Trinity Baptist Church and he later attended Second Community Church where he played the piano.
Even though David’s health was failing he very seldom missed going to church and continually tried to do service in the community.
David is survived by his brother Robert Alexander and a host of cousins and friends.
David will be truly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Friday, December 6, 2019 at Second Community Church, 311 S. Highland Ave.
Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.

To Mr. Robert Alexander and Family:
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your
God; I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with
my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
I was so saddened to hear about the passing of your brother and loved one, Mr. David Alexander. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
It is never easy to lose someone you love, and I know there is a great emptiness left by his passing. The Poem of Life says, “Life is but a stopping place, a pause in what’s to be, a resting place along the road, to sweet eternity.” My prayer is that the strength of the love you shared with David and each other will get you through this difficult time. In addition, May the outpouring of love you have received since David’s parting serve as a reminder of how much he was loved by all who knew him.
Revelations 21:4 reads, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
When you feel sad just remember that your hearts will always be connected. May God bless and comfort you.

David was someone who loved the Lord with all of his heart and a wonderful friend that I knew nearly all of his life. He will truly be missed.

I went to John Burroughs Elementary and West High Schools with David. I’m very sorry to hear about his passing. My condolences to the family.
To the family of David Alexander,
I ran into David only a couple of weeks before his passing. I did not know until now that he had gone home to be with the Lord. He was a good friend. He loved the Lord and was a wonderful servant of God. He will be sorely missed.
