Donald Edward Johnson was born September 17, 1948 to Clydia Mae Johnson in Columbus, Ohio. He departed this life on Saturday July 1, 2017. Donald received his formal education through the Columbus Public Schools Districts. Donald accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized at the Brentnell Church where he attended as a member alongside of his wife Mrs. Elena (Chris)Johnson.
At an early age Donald fell in love with Cooking. Fort Hayes Hotel is where his start began. He also continued his love of cooking professionally and with his family. What was most important to Donald was making people laugh and spending time with his family. His future aspirations were to bring peace to his whole family and get them back together.
Those who remain to cherish memories of Donald, includes his Wife, Elena (Chris) Johnson, Children: Reginald Johnson(Anita), Brandon Talley(Myra), Shawn Johnson(Jalondra), Dawn Johnson, Preceded in death son Ricardo Anthony Johnson, Special person: Keondae Briskner, Brothers: Raymond L. Johnson(Lenora), Thomas O. Johnson(Joyce), Sisters: Elizabeth A. Ferguson, Joyce R. Johnson, Jacqulynn Johnson, Cathy E. (Johnson)Tolbert, 11 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren, 24 Great nieces & nephew’s, 5 nieces, 7 nephews, 2 preceded in death, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Avenue.
