Janice Kaye (McGowan) Hale was born on January 20, 1955 to LQ and Virginia Mae McGowan in Mineral Wells, MS.
Janice was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. Janice Kaye married the love of her life, Harvey Hale Sr, on February 19, 1983. She was a faithful employee of CDC Head Start, where she retired.
Blessed with 66 years of life she was called home from labor to eternal rest on June 12, 2021.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents LQ and Virginia McGowan; brothers, LQ Jr, Charles, and Eric; and two loving sisters, Sandra Faye and Kimberly McGowan.
Janice leaves behind her loving husband Harvey Hale, Sr; daughters, Takeysha Burford, Keyonna Twitty, Tiffany Taylor, Sondra (Ramsey) Asare, Kim Taylor, and Breonna Hale; sons, Harvey (Jennifer) Hale, Jr and Austin Hale; also a loving mother-inlaw and father-inlaw Charles and Katie Hale; siblings, Cordelia (Daniel) Foster, Elvis Nathaniel McGowan, Willie Lewis, and David Allen; sisters in law, Joeann Cunningham, Barbara Hale, and Brenda Hale; brothers in law, Ray (Hallie) Hale and Lonnie (LaKisha) Hale; 23 grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends, and church family.
WELL DONE, Thou Good and Faithful Servant.
Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 9:30am Saturday, June 19, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
Interment at Northlawn Memory Gardens.

In my father’s house are many mansions…To the Foster, Hale, and McGowan families, you are all in our prayers today as you lay our beloved Sister to rest.. know if you need anything me and our Sister -in -law Geraldine McGowan will be a phone call away. We love you all God bless..RIP my sister till we meet again.

Mrs. Hale was a beautiful soul, my sincere condolence to her family. Thank you for the unselfish loving kindness you gave to my nieces Tiffany, Kim. During this difficult time, may God grant you peace with fond memories.
