OdorJasmine

Jasmine was born on November 10, 1989 in Columbus, Ohio to Beverly and Christian Odor. She transitioned from life on November 3, 2020 at the age of 30.

Jasmine, affectionately known by many as “Jazz” or “J”, graduated from East High School and Devry University with an Associates Degree in Computer Technology in 2008. Jasmine was so full of life and loved all things beauty, including herself, cameras, and mirrors. She loved spending time with her two beautiful daughters, Serenity and Faith, hanging with her family and friends, and took pride in encouraging others. Jasmine had a heart of gold. She was loving and welcoming to all who’d come in contact with her. No matter the situation or circumstance, she always saw the good in people. Jasmine was the life of every party she attended. Every door she walked in, she came in with one of the biggest smiles. Jasmine enjoyed traveling, and lived her life fearlessly and unapologetically. She wasn’t afraid of anything. Her greatest accomplishment and pride of her life were her two daughters whom she loved dearly.

Jasmine is preceded in death by her loving mother, Beverly Odor, whom she cherished dearly; her loving aunt, Elaine Martin-Booker; and special cousin, Sherita Martin.

Jasmine will be sorely missed by all who loved her. She leaves to cherish her memories, father, Christian Odor; daughters, Serenity Lane and Faith Powell; brother, Vincent Martin; sisters, Breanna Martin and Shynella Odor of Columbus; special cousin raised as siblings, Anjanetta Martin; niece, Nazariya Durr; nephews, Anthony Durr and Greyson Hamrick; adopted aunt, Patricia Amos-Howard; a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Monday, November 16, 2020 at Resurrection Power COGIC, 81 Price Road.

From the day I met Jasmine, she was always so kind towards me. She was always there to lend me a hand when I needed it. She would encourage me in one of my darkest seasons I fought hard to overcome. She helped me in ways I will never forget. Jasmine, you were a beacon of light. Although our time was brief, you were a delight in my life.

Condolence from LaVonne Haider on November 16th, 2020 12:43 am

When you came for your service, I explained I provide “foot washings”! It’s more then a pedicure. You got even more excited about your service. We spent hours talking about life, literally EVERYTHING! You were so open with honesty. You held nothing back, saying “how much you enjoyed coming for your “foot washing”! It was like therapy or counseling.” We prayed, we LAUGHED, we encouraged each other. So many moments I prayed for you and the girls when you didn’t even have scheduled services. Had I known God was preparing you for more, I would have PRAYED harder, LOVE harder, ENCOURAGED harder! Only God knows why! And I don’t question it. But I you knew Him and I know you don’t question His decision either. O how grateful I am to have been apart of your preparation. You will be MISSED LOVE. Rest in your mother arms. -iamlavonnelavonne
