Marty was certainly a character. He always, always made me smile. His smile though lit up a room. Marty, walking into our local establishments while never be the same. Hearing you say you need to run home to put the laundry in the dryer makes me chuckle still. You were one of the most respectful men I’ve ever met. You are missed and loved beyond measure.

Condolence from Mike Parsons on January 23rd, 2024 11:02 pm

Having known Marty since the opening of Happy Endings and hell all the way through what is called now, it is with deep sorrow, grief and frankly disbelief that he has left us. I think everyone that knew him kinda feels that too. Marty had a thick skin and could dish it out and take it at the same time, He always put a smile on my face when I left no matter how I looked when I walked in there. 1128 Hill Road was where he hung out, but Happy Endings will forever be his Legacy. Rest in Peace Marty. Love you Man.

To the Family of John “Marty” Turner
I was shocked and saddened to learn Marty is no longer with us. I don`t have the right words to
express my feelings of loss, but I will miss his friendly and uplifting conversations that we shared and the white baseball caps he often wore. May God Bless and comfort you during this difficult time.
