Juanita E. Hill was born May 11, 1926 in Holder, WV. to the late Rev. Jones Hallie and Annie B Thomas.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Juanita was also a member of several different clubs and lodges including Kenmore Community Action.
Juanita met her husband James while working at St. Anthony Hospital as a Dietician. She worked at St. Anthony’s until they closed the doors in 1955.
Juanita then went to work for herself doing day labor work which earned her a job as a housekeeper and a “nanny” with children being her passion.
Juanita departed this life on February 3, 2020. She is preceded in death by parents Rev. Hallie and Annie Thomas, husband James Hill, brothers Lee, Frank, Ernest, Louis, and Thomas, son James Hill, and great grandson Javon Woods.
She leaves to cherish her legacy; brother John (Carol) Thomas, sister Charmaine (Austin) Grice, daughters Donna (Clyde) Ingram, Marquisa (Terry) Heeke, and Aiko Plummer, sons Frank Hill, and Amir Allen, and step children Mary and John Hill, also a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Saturday, February 15, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
