Karon Barber was born on July 28, 1988 to Saundra Barber and Mannix Summerall. He went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2020.

Karon accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age and also was a member of So Help Me God Church of Christ. Karon went to Linden McKinley High School, although he didn’t walk the stage, he received his G.E.D.

Karon was an amazing father that loved his children. He also was an awesome son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He loved to play football and was a great artist and rapper.

Karon is preceded in death by grandfather Mr. Willie L. Barber Sr., great grandparents Mr. James and Ms. Helen Garner, uncles Mr. Willie Y. Barber Jr., and Mr. Aaron Sumerall, cousins Victor Garner, Charcellia Griffin, and Aaron Summerall Jr., and his children’s mother, Ms. Ashley Ferguson.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories parents Sandra Barber and Mannix Summerall, children Miangel, Konna, Karon Jr., Katrell, Kayla, and Kendell Barber, grandparents Ms. Brenda Barber and Ms. Caroline Summerall, siblings Heaven, Leandra, Joshua, Ja’ron, Mannix Jr., James, Da’Narius, Aaron, and Carrington, aunts Angelica, Elizabeth, Pauline, and Carolina, uncles Willie (Kneta) Barber, Zachariah, James, Paul, Nehemiah, and Joe, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

We love you and you will be dearly missed

Visitation 11:00 AM and Funeral Service 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
