Lante’ Lewis Hughes affectionately known as Stripzzz. Beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend. Lante’ age 23 was born on February 5, 1998 at OSU North Hospital to Lamont Hughes and Shawnte’ Bankston. His eyes closed eternally on Friday, August 6, 2021.
Lante’ was an entrepreneur at the ripe age of 10, where he designed, bought and sold sneakers. He went on to create his business brand Young Millionaires (YM) before graduating high school. Lante’ attended the Pickerington North High School district. He graduated in 2016. He went on to Columbus State Community College for Business for a year. Lante’s dreams were bigger than Columbus State, so he left to pursue his dreams.
The Young Millionaires (YM) Business expanded to buying, raising, and breeding bullys. Lante’ did this alongside his uncle Brian. He had six dogs, and most recently yielded a puppy. He loved his dogs. Lante’ purchased a tow truck with his dear friends Domonte’ and started a towing company.
Lante’ also dabbled in music and has made multiple songs and music videos. There wasn’t much he had not done or could not do. Literally, a jack of all trades.
Lante’ was loved by all who knew him. He united so many families and friends. He built relationships far beyond our knowledge and reach. His friendships span across thousands of miles, from Columbus to California, to New York, to Atlanta, and even to parts of Africa. His smile, his outgoing light personality, his hugs, kisses, and sincere “I Love You” will be sorely missed.
Lante’ is preceded in death by his paternal family, grandparents, Debra Carr and Kenneth Hughes; aunt, Kennequa Gerritsen; and uncle, Robert Brown.
Lante’ leaves to cherish his precious memory, his mother, Shawnte’ Bankston; father, Lamont Hughes; brother, Donte’ and Lamont Jr.; sister, London; grandparents, Calvin and Rena’ Bankston-Benson, Marie Patterson; aunt, Serena Griffin; uncles, Kenny Hughes, Brandon Ledbetter, and Brian Bankston, Raymond Hughes; special family and friends, the Patterson family, Kobe, Malaisha, Mark, Jazmina, and Damonte; and many loving and supportive aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 10:00am Monday, August 23, 2021 at Columbus Christian Center, 2300 Cassady Ave.
Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The Fraley’s. We have trouble finding the words to tell you how we feel . We didn’t know Lante as much as I wish we had. He was a fabulous person what I did know about him we Loved him a lot. Such a beautiful aura around him! He is a very special person. We loved him and we Love all his family!God Bless you all!❤️

“Bug”, I was reading this obituary online and noticed Shawnte’s name and realized who this young man is! You have my deepest condolences and thoughts! I didn’t know Lante, but I sure do remember you, Rene, “BB”, and Shawnte! Love to you!

I WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES. THIS YOUNG MAN TOWED MY CAR ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AGO AND HE WAS ONE OF THE MOST NICEST YOUNG MAN I’VE EVER MET. I FEEL BROKEN AT HEART.
LANTE’ WENT TO SCHOOL WITH MY GRANDSON AND THEY GRADUATED TOGETHER. TO ALL OF HIS FAMILY AND RELATIVES I AM EXPRESSING MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES.
REVELATION 21:3, 4 GIVES US A WONDERFUL HOPE OF SEEING OUR LOVED ONES AGAIN IN THE RESURRECTION HOPE. VERY SOON THERE WILL BE NO MORE SORROW OR PAIN. PRAYING FOR OUR HEAVENLY FATHER TO COMFORT THE FAMILY AT THIS VERY DIFFICULT TIME.
YOUR SON WAS THE KINDEST PERSON, USING HIS TOW TRUCK TO BASICALLY RESCUE ONES IN NEED. IT BRINGS TEARS TO MY EYES EVERY TIME I PICTURE HIM TOWING MY CAR AND TAKING GOOD CARE OF IT. PRAYING FOR THE FAMILY TO HAVE COMFORT AND THE RESURRECTION HOPE AND LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR SON ONCE AGAIN. THE BIBLE MAKES THIS PROMISE.

Lante hughes was a amazing big brother to me he looked out for his family and friends he never took or stolen from anyone but i he left us he was a big brother to me by listening to me and coming to talk to me always told me i would give all the money in the world to be happy ik he meant it he started his own brand and had a side hustle of selling dogs around Columbus and got his towing license he was a leader a soldier a king he was a god thank you but ima always miss lante forever good bye best friend see you soon ima always say yo name king #YM STRIPZZ YOUNG MILLIONAIRES
