Lee Antwonne Mardis Jr, beloved son, brother, fiancé and father was called home to be with the Lord and gain his angel wings February 5th, 2022. Lee “Marlo” was born to Chequela Davis and Lee Mardis Sr on October 16th, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio.

Lee attended Beechcroft High School; he later obtained his GED in 2014. Growing up in Brentnell, Lee had a passion for all sports. He ran track and was a star player in little league football. He played all positions mainly safety and quarterback. He also played basketball for the Columbus Trojans and participated in the Gusmacker tournament and enjoyed spending time at Brentnell Recreation Center.

Lee was a top player in chess and love attending chess tournaments. In his leisure time he loved to travel, play video games, listen to music but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. He would always consider himself a “chemist”.

Lee loved his family and friends dearly, especially his siblings. He had a love for children and was very much looking forward to being a father to his daughter. He was a very loyal friend and would look out for anybody. Moments before the Lord called Lee home to his final resting place, he gave himself as a sacrifice to protect and shield his fiance Jada and soon to be baby girl Mar’Lee from imminent danger.

He was looking forward to being a father to his daughter and planning his wedding to marry his fiancé and being the best man, he could be to his family. Lee was a protector, a provider, and will be remembered for his ambition, his loyalty, but most of all, his smile.

Lee was preceded in death by great grandparents; Dorothy and Earnest Neighbors, great grandfather; Fred Triplett, great grandmother; Celica Bowman and best friend, Duane “Wayno” Penick Jr.

Lee leaves to cherish his memory and smile to his mother; Chequela Davis (Tyrone Davis), father; Lee Mardis Sr, fiancé; Jada Reeves, baby girl; Mar’Lee Dior Mardis, grandmother’s; Sherrie Bowman, Jeanetta Mardis, Hazel Triplett, grandfathers; Michael (Brigitte) Triplett and Walden Mardis, aunts; Patricia Vickers, Tonya Douglas -Chambers, Dorothy Jones, Aleeah Neighbors, Ebony Neighbors, Kenya Neighbors, uncles; Keenan Mardis, Mike Bowman, Zac Bowman, cousins; Kendle Mardis, Broklyn Castle, Tanya Catle, Asia Dowling, Jakayla Howell, Courtney Smith, Gionna Capoccianna, Alaysha Newsome, Naseir Reed, Justin Hodge, Brinten Shoafs, Carolyn Anderson, Cherylinda Henry, Brandis Mason , Kayley Bowman, Arianna Bowman, Russell Bowman, Cheyanne Bowman, Corey Jones, Paul Jones, Cornell Jones, Ezel Vickers, Nikki Vickers, Cassie Vickers, LaDawn Vickers, Brianna Vickers, Dominique Vickers , Jamasia Vickers as well as a host of other family members and friends.
