Lofton Libby

Libby Faye Lofton, age 44. Sunrise March 28, 1973 and Sunset May 28, 2017.

Libby was a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School, attended Central State University and graduated from Devry Technical Institute. She retired from The State of Ohio Department of Taxation. She was a member of Triedstone Baptist Church where she was a former Lead Servant of The Blessing Hands Food Pantry, Secretary of Hospitality Ministry and on the Parent Board of In His Image Mime Ministry. Libby was also a Tutor and volunteered with The Brice Food Pantry.

Libby was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Mattie Louise Dillard Lofton and brother, John Lofton.

Left to cherish her memory, sons, Charles A. Lofton II and Zachare’ A. Lofton; daughter, Mattieson A. Lofton; brothers Charles (Brenda), Harry, Reggie, Nate (Patricia) Terrance and Leslie Lofton; sisters, Francenia Sweeney-Williams, Lesia (Steve) Bouldin Williams, Lynda Lofton, and Lanese Powell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation 5:00 p.m. and Funeral 6:00 p.m. Sunday June 4, 2017 at Triedstone Baptist Church 858 E. 3rd Ave.

Interment 10:00 a.m. Monday June 5, 2017 at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.

Some of us plan to be with you for the celebration of her life. Reading the obituary it clearly showed her love of God and heart to serve her fellow man. I met Libby at work (Dept. of Tax) and we became well acquainted with each other talking about every and anything! She was a wonderful woman and her smile and laughter will be greatly missed. RIH my friend. Peace and blessings.
