Lisa Michelle Butler of New Albany passed away October 6, 2019 surrounded by her loving family following an unexpected illness. Lisa was born November 19, 1969 in Akron, Ohio. She was the second of three children born David and Harriett Lomax. Lisa was a 1988 graduate of John R. Buchtel High School, where she was an honor student. Lisa was a 1993 graduate of The Ohio State University, where she majored in journalism. Lisa was employed by the State of Ohio.

Lisa enjoyed her church and working with children. Lisa was a kind soul, always willing to help others. Lisa loved her family and was a devoted mother to her only son Miles Alexander Butler. She loved watching Miles compete in track and in football.

Proceeded in death by her father David S. Lomax Sr. Lisa is survived by her husband LaNardo Butler and their son Miles Butler; mother Harriett Lomax of Akron, Ohio; Stacy (Maurice)Allen; David (Laurie) Lomax Jr; Nephews David S. Lomax III and TJ Lomax; In-Laws Moses (Katherine) Butler; Renelle (Ingrid) Butler; Anson(Jenelle) Hairston; Lorenzo(Sonia) Butler.

In lieu of flowers donations for the continued education of Lisa’s son Miles can be made to St. Francis DeSales High School.
