Loretta Ellen Busbee Willis, born April 24, 1938, went home to the Lord December 14, 2021.

Loreta came to Ohio in 1970, where she worked as a nurse at different hospitals, private duty patients, and with the county working with the disabled. She worked with the Red Cross, Civil Defense Disaster Relief and First Aid, as well as taught. She was a Girl Scout Leader to her 2 youngest daughters, ushered at OSU stadium, and taught arts and crafts.

Loretta belonged to Ebenezer Baptist Church where she sang soprano with the Mass Choir, and taught Sunday School. She worked with her mentor when she retired to take care of her mother. She enjoyed singing, fishing, hunting, cooking and collecting recipes, traveling with her sister Rose, meeting new people and family outings, until her health started failing. She moved to Majestic of Whitehall, where she enjoyed her nurse Kim and Keyon.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Louis Busbee; sister, Gyneth; son, Timothy Adams; ex-husbands, Thomas Adams and Reginald Willis; grandsons, Kelvin Brown, Jr. and Gene Anthony Brown; special friend, Ed Scott; and daughter, Anita Adams-Cooper.

Loretta leaves behind her children, Loretta (Ben) Adams, Thomas Adams, April (Nelson) Adams-Cage, Barbara Chapman, and Jovan Helton; son-in-law, Dennis Cooper; sister, Rose Hamrick, best friends Betty Jordan; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, and host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
