Lorraine “Nanny” Mitchell, age 93, went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2017 at Brookdale Assistant Living Facility.
Lorraine was employed with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles until she retired.
Lorraine is preceded in death by husband, Nathaniel Mitchell; daughter, Dolores Boudreaux; and son, Frederick Mitchell.
Lorraine leaves to cherish her lovingly memory daughter, Yvonne (Bill) Johnson; 12 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation 10 am, Funeral 11 am Friday, November 3, 2017 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.

To the family of Lorraine, you have my deepest sympathy in your loss. It is truly a blessing to live for 93 years. God blessed Lorraine with special mightiness, as Psalm 90:10 says, “The span of our life is 70 years, Or 80 if one is especially strong.”That is a long life but not compared to blessings of everlasting life! By means of God’s Kingdom, he promises that we will live forever in the near future (Psalm 37:29).
