Condolence from Carmen Allen on February 29th, 2024 7:47 am

Family, I never forget getting this phone call from RICKY.. Telling me that he felt like he was dying and he wanted to see me. We spoke for a good hour and we prayed up a storm. The next day I spent the entire afternoon with Riki, sitting at his bedside, reminiscing, laughing and talking we talked about everything from Jesus to Jodeci. He wished he could stay, but he knew that although his mind was made up his body was tired. Anointing him for his journey was an honor and labor of love. I want you to know that Ricky was the heartbeat of Election Sure. We travelled across the city, state and country to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We played to the lost, to the rejected to the forsaken to the found to the saved, and we brought the fusion of gospel and rock together to create a new sound in the kingdom. He will truly be missed. What a wonderful storyteller he was, he was the absolute, most stubborn mule, headed person That I know who would give you the shirt off his back and expect nothing in return except for you to go out to eat with him at Ci-Ci pizza. He prayed often and music was his outlet. God bless you for enduring with him dear aunt, cousins and special cousin. He talked about you guys all the time. You were all he had And he wants you to stay close together. Ricky, spider as we called him when he was playing sleep now. This is what we would say at the end of prayer with the band and I want to share it with you. Thank you for the gift of music and thank you for the gift of each other. Good night Ricky. Family, you are continuously in our prayers. P. MIN Carmen Allen, better known as Laydee C .
