Mattie O. Robertson-Veasey age 81 was born in Lapine, Alabama on October 12th, 1941. She departed this earthly life on Friday December 30th, 2022, at her home in Columbus, Ohio.

Mattie gave her life to God at an early age joining the Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church. Mattie was a loving mother who cherish her children and others. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, scratching lottery cards, and listening to Luther Vandross. She also was known for making her famous Pound Cake, Sweet Potato Souffle and Kool Aid.

Mattie is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Maggie Robertson; son, Keith L. Robertson; five brothers and three sisters.

Mattie leaves to cherish her loving memory, loving husband, Wallace Veasey Sr.; two sons Wallace (Belinda) Veasey Jr. and Eric Veasey; two daughters, Latanji Veasey and Rebecca Robertson; sisters-in-law, Coretta Washington and Julia Veasey; three grandsons, Donta Cook, Keith (Juanisha) Robertson Sr., and Marqus (Allyson) Veasey; seven great grandchildren, Donesha, Iyanna, Donta Jr., Dawn, Mahkei, Keith Jr. and Amira; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Unity Christian Fellowship Church, 3833 Westerville Road.
